Overview

HR Mapper ("we", "our", or "the tool") is a free, client-side web application that helps recruiters generate Google Boolean search queries to find HR professionals. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how data is handled.

Data We Collect & Store

HR Mapper operates entirely in your browser. All data is stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. We do NOT have a backend server and do NOT collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers.

Saved Companies

Company names and locations you explicitly save for quick access. Stored in localStorage.

Recent Searches

Your last few search queries for convenience. Stored in localStorage.

Usage Statistics

Basic counters like total searches and queries opened. Stored locally and never transmitted.

Theme Preference

Your light/dark mode choice. Stored in localStorage.

Data We Do NOT Collect

❌ No personal information (name, email, phone)
❌ No cookies or tracking pixels
❌ No IP address logging
❌ No server-side data storage
❌ No third-party advertising trackers
❌ No cross-site tracking

Third-Party Services

When you click "Search on Google" or use any search action, you are redirected to Google Search (google.com) in a new tab. At that point, Google's own privacy policy applies. We do not control or have access to any data Google collects.

Similarly, the WhatsApp share feature redirects you to WhatsApp Web, which is governed by WhatsApp's/Meta's privacy policy.

Your Control

Since all data is stored locally in your browser, you have full control:

• Delete saved companies — Use the trash icon on the Saved page
• Clear all data— Clear your browser's localStorage for this site
• Use incognito mode — No data persists after closing the window

Children's Privacy

HR Mapper is a professional recruiting tool and is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
